Born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Haley is a proud alumna of Georgia State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Special Education. Upon realizing her passion for addressing health disparities, Haley received her Master of Public Health degree with a Concentration in Community Health Education from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Since receiving her MPH, Haley has worked as a Program Manager and Public Health Practitioner in community and medical organizations such as the Waco-McLennan County Public Health Department and Harris Health System. Haley currently works at Prairie View A&M University as a Program Specialist for Wellness in Houston.
When she’s not educating populations about disease prevention, Haley is curating tasty recipes and promoting healthy living as the CEO and Founder of Twenty47 Smoothery, a mobile smoothie parlor that offers delicious and nutritious smoothies, based in Houston, TX.
Haley remains connected to her community as an active member of the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals. In her spare time, you can catch her on the dance floor, singing karaoke, visiting new restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
